Tanner Short is a former research assistant on the YARI project and has completed his MA in Sociology at the University of Calgary. His thesis examined Twitter data and explored the impacts the pandemic has had on Canadians' online discussions of refugee individuals and refugee experiences. He consistently promotes the importance of learning through both quantitative and qualitative approaches, encouraging meaningful community engagement, and utilizing critical and intersectional theoretical frameworks.
